My name is Sofia, and I am the founder of Culture Bar. I also work as Head of HR for Hawksmoor and sit on the London Mayor's Steering Group for the Women’s Night Safety Charter. I have over 20 years of experience in hospitality and advise businesses across the UK on implementing strategies to create safer working environments for women, ensuring gender equality is reflected in both practice and policy.
Through Culture Bar, I deliver anti-harassment and culture training, focusing on how violence against women and girls originates from a pyramid of violence and how to break this cycle. Delegates will develop and practice tools to keep themselves and others safe, including through bystander intervention.
We address what third-party harassment looks like and how to deal with abusive and difficult customers, suppliers, or clients. The session also explores the concept of 'banter,' its potential to become harassment, and its impact on company culture.
